...ok, Lacuna rocks. No need to argue.

But to clarify: They are not strictly "metal" in any sense; they make use of metal stylings, but they are far more complicated. Bass lines range from the lowest end of slab rock to semi-jazz stylings; guitars crunch and groove in turn. They use layering to grand effect, and to top it all off, Christina's vocal range is genuinely breathtaking--quasi-operatic, no joke. To listen to them is to love them. This is a band that doesn't just loop in some generic orchestral strings for effect--they hire a fucking quartet to record with them. I am grooving on "Our Truth" from the new album, but I highly recommend that you all go out and find the album "Unleashed Memories"--that's memories, Fluff, not mammaries. Easily my favorite of their albums, and the U.S. version includes the "Halflife" EP.

Also, I would like to register my disgust at some of you for objectifying a remarkably talented artist such as Christina Scabbia. You are all pigs. PIGS! That being said...I would SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hit that. *drools*
